Peyton and Chris went to the Houston Air Show today, so I took Ashley and Ryne to the neighborhood park. Ashley is ready to go with her pink cowboy hat and pink choo choo train. :) Yesterday she found this stick at a playground and was picking up pine cones and bringing them to me, so I brought the stick along. She found a lot of treasures with the stick.
My education philosophy is a mix between Charlotte Mason and Classical. Charlotte Mason is very nature-based. I haven't been good at mixing it in. It was easier when we lived on 5 acres. ;) So this is the beginning of making sure that we go to the parks with the intention of learning about nature and our surroundings.
