Atticus Jone's birthday party

It has been a while since we have been to a birthday party.  Peyton had an opportunity to go to the SFA football game with Chris at Reliant Stadium where the Texans play, but then he got an invitation to a birthday party.  Peyton picked the birthday party over the football game.  Chris took Ryne instead.  Peyton was so excited to go to the party.  Atticus is in his Games class at co-op on Monday's, and he was in a few classes with him last semester as well.  At the end of the party, they did a fun explosion experiment with Mentos & Diet Coke.

The party was at a park.  The older kids had fun climbing this.  Peyton made it to the top right away. :)

Singing happy birthday and holding their cake cones in the air.

The explosion experiment...you need one bottle of Diet Coke, a contraption that you can find at Hobby Lobby - it has a string, so you can stand back and pull the string when you are ready without getting soaked, and some Mentos.

The birthday boy gets to pull the string...he is geared up in protection. :)

Ahh, boo, something went wrong and it squirted out the sides instead of up

So another mom went to the store across the street and got another bottle of Coke so we could try it again.  This is what it's supposed to do.  The kids all loved this. ;)

This is Elise Pipkin, she likes playing with Ashley.  I asked her to help me keep an eye on her.  She was a very good helper. ;)

Hey, look at me!
